1 YEAR Positions Available at the Yangpyeong Camp
These positions will be available mid-May / beginning of June

About us :
The Ansan, Gwanak and Yangpyeong English Villages are all part of SDA Education’s effort to expand English learning across all of South Korea. Our mission at each of our schools is to provide students with an opportunity to practice their English and leadership skills in an environment that encourages and motivates them to do their best. Our students are exposed to various cultures of the English speaking world, while involving them in activities that help them to appreciate the world in which they live and the impact that learning English can have. We understand the vital role that teachers play in accomplishing our mission and therefore do our best to make your time working at our English Villages a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. Every organization has its’ kinks and we are no exception, but we are committed to accomplishing our mission and are constantly striving to improve.
We are operating three English villages in Korea and might ask you to experience our other villages during your time. It is not obligatory but we do encourage those that would like to see other parts of Korea to consider it when things get busy and schedules get tight.

About the Teaching Environment:

•Program and activity hours are also scheduled to fulfill the 40-hour working week.

Housing is on campus? (i.e., no drinking in your own room?)

Yes, housing is on campus. As long as you keep it contained within your room no one will hassle you about it.

Why does the advertisement say

"You may be asked to work Sunday through Thursday programs and rest on Fridays and Saturdays".

I was raised SDA and I thought ALL SDA's could NOT work Friday evenings and Saturdays??

I would love to work their just for the beautiful vegetarian lunches in the school cafeteria, but alas, housing on campus doesn't appeal to me.

Why original diploma?  New regulations (if I'm up-to-date) require an apostilled copy of the diploma.  Also, (if I'm up-to-date) the need for transcripts has been abolished.
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me.

Correct, you work Sunday through Thursday then have Friday and Saturday off for the Sabbath. The vast majority of the foreign teachers here are not SDA.

You are correct about the diploma. This is an older advertisement and I forgot to change that part. You do not need your original diploma anymore, just the apostilled copy. Transcripts are also no longer required by immigration, so applicants do not need to worry about submitting that with their other documents. Thanks for catching that Justanotherwaygook.
