GEPIK elementary school position.

School Location.



Contract Details:

•         Starting date: March 1st.
•         Basic Salary: Varies by experience (between 2,000,000 won and 2,500,000 won).
•         Work days: Monday to Friday.
•         Working Hours: 08:30- 4:30 (Working hours include both teaching and time spent preparing for classes. You must be in the building even if you are not teaching.)
•         Teaching Hours: 22 hours per week.
•         Extra classes: Some schools ask that English teachers teach more than 22 hours per week. Each additional teaching hour is considered overtime for which teachers are paid 20,000 won/hour.
•         Teaching Level: Elementary
•         Housing: Fully furnished, non-shared housing is supplied. Schools pay rent and teachers cover utilities.
•         Airfare: Teachers’ flights to Korea are reimbursed during their first month of work (Tickets must be coach class.  Schools will fully reimburse) Upon completion of their contract, teachers are provided with a return ticket.
•         Settlement Allowance: Within the first month of arrival teachers are given 300,000 won as part of a settlement allowance to help teachers pay for miscellaneous expenses.
•         Holiday: 20 days of paid holiday + Korean national holidays + 11 days of paid sick-days.
•         Medical Insurance: 50% of medical insurance is covered by the school.
•         Severance Pay: One-month salary after completion of contract.
