This may have been done before because I got the idea from another teacher, but here it is. A two class lesson I made because my co-teachers were always bitching that my classes were to academic, or not 'fun enough' (I refuse to be a babysitter). Start with the ppt and at each stage discuss the relevant country's culture and national features. Elaborate on what is on the ppt as that is really just to guide the discussions. In the second class print out the pdf (careful, it is in A3 size) and make each kid design his own country: it's boundries, culture, foods, specialties, etc (using the ppt as a template), then have each kid come up to the front and present his unique country to the class.
Feel free to change what is in the ppt, those are all based on classes I have already had with the kids.
