Hey Waygook!

I keep getting different answers from the Korean Immigration Hotline, and was hoping you could share your personal experiences. I am a GEPIK teacher, and at the end of my contract, I want to transfer to a hagwon in Seoul. I already have my Criminal Background Check apostilled by the Canadian embassy in Seoul, so thats covered. My concern is the diploma. The immigration lady said on the phone that if I submitted my apostilled diploma when I originally came to Korea (which I obviously did), and IF the Korean immigration office didn't screw up (by forgetting to scan a copy of it for their records), then I will be fine. This leaves a huge WTF in my mind.

Let me summarize (TL;DR): Transferring to a third contract at the end of my current GEPIK contract, haven't left Korea, haven't let my visa expire, will I need to send my diploma home to have it apostilled again by the Korean consulate in Vancouver?

Cheers!
