I have just arrived in Sintanjin.  It seems a bit out of the way.  Does anybody know the best way to get to downtown from here?  I know there is a bus, but would a taxi be expensive?

I am told the taxis are very expensive as opposed to public transportation.  I don't really have a measuring stick or a baseline to measure that from, but that was information from my co-teacher.  I usually take a bus to and from school which is 1800 won each way and about a 20 minute ride if that helps you gauge at all.  I would ask your co teachers for help with this as they are probably more familiar with your surroundings and how to get around.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be taking a taxi on a regular basis. But they are cheap compared to taxis in Australia.

It was more in reference to if I was to go out downtown of a night and the buses were not running, I don't mind paying 10,000 won or so as thats far less expensive than the u.k
