My husband and I are heading to Langkawi for winter vacation - 12 nights. We'll likely rent a motorbike to get around and see the sights. I've been checking out the usual to do lists and aside from lounging on the beach, swimming etc are there any must do activities or attractions?

The sky bridge was amazing. I'm scared of heights so was terrified!  You should check out the mangroves as you can usually see plenty of eagles. There is also a zoo which is pretty cool as you can buy stuff to feed the animals as you walk around.

Underwater world is overpriced and not really worth it.

There's also a nice little bar on the beach called Little Lydia's which is very nice and chilled in the evenings.

It's def a nice place for couples, not a big party place like Thailand.

Lucky you! Langkawi is pretty nice. I recommend kayaking in the mangroves. I am not a fan of the eagle feeding but the kayaking was amazing and we saw a viper which was pretty cool.

We also did an evening jungle walk which was pretty interesting but not a must do.

12 nights seems like quite a long time - you will have plenty of time for doing very little.

Enjoy.

We did an Island Hopping Tour:

They bring you to a small island for some swimming, stop off to feed some eagles (the island is known for them), but the best part was the fresh water lake at what they call Monkey Island. There were so many monkeys it was a little intimidating! It had been a while since I swam in fresh water so I really enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery at that lake ^^

Thanks everyone. Any recommendations on where to stay?
