teaching English in Iraq

culturetapestry:
Does anyone know anything or know anyone who has taught English in Iraq?  I'd love to hear from you.

Yegob:
what you really mean is teaching in the Kurdish areas by the Turkish border. There are limited opportunities there.
I wouldn't consider that "Iraq" though. Erbil is a far cry from Baghdad.

curds:
Hey,

have you considered the UAE? Its fairly easy to get a job there? The pay is more as well, but I would hope so for the weather there.

Yeah, Kurdistan is apparently very peaceful and conflict-free and Westerners tend to be well-liked (or so I've read).
Just don't go hiking and accidentally wander into Iran.   :P

Yes I mean Eribl or I'm not exactly sure of the exact location it is the safe part though,  what do you know about teaching there.
