healthkoreaus.com is the best place I think. I ordered the big jug of monster milk there and the total was less than 80k. I am VERY satisfied and it ships from the US and only took 4 days. Wow, I am definatly sticking with them!!! and 10,000won flat shipping is absolutly fantastic!!!

Bodybuilding.com has DHL international shipping.  May be a little pricey, but you're getting good quality products. I saw protein powder here... it had 9g of protein per serving. Are you kidding me?

I've been using this whey protein for about 5 months now and it's actually pretty good.  It's cheap too.  Each serving has 25g of protein.

I'm guessing that because it's shipped from the US, yes, unless you can ask them to write a different total on the packaging slip.  :o

this thread is great!  Im currently working my way through a sub-par costco protein!
Cant wait to make a decent order.  I mean the costco is still a serving of protein, but I cant even read the label to tell which kind it is!!!!

so just to get final clarification from those in the know...

As long as my order from iherb.com  is UNDER 150,000 won (or 130,000) ,
then customs CANNOT charge me any additional fee??

Just want to make absolute sure because I hate those kind of surprises!
Thanks!

Yes, I've placed dozens of orders over $100 but under $130 and it was fine. This was the first time I ever had to pay customs fees, so I was bummed.

Also, they have 33% off shipping now :)

I ordered a 7 kg drum of top quality protein from gmarket and all up it cost 40,000-45,000 including post.
They even included a few small books on exercises and a shaker/mixer bottle.
Can't go wrong with them.

What I am worried about is the address.

My co teacher gave me a weird break down of the address without postal code. He also said I have to put the address in Korean as well.

Is this true?

p.s. I want to order from Iherb

You can have stuff mailed to you from abroad using an English address. Show us your address in English and we can check if it is right. Make sure to include a contact phone number in Korea.

I don't know about the customs part...sorry

Ok,

So I am going to get it shipped to my school.

Here is what my CT sent me:

South Korea, Deagu Dalsung-gun Okpo-myeon Gyohang-ri 1503 Guemgyae elementary school(Administration office)

I am ordering under $100, so I hope no customs.

Protein shakes are SO expensive in Korea. I saw prices on a Korean website and literally gasped at how high they were.

I found protein shakes no problem. I came across some in some of the bigger supermarkets and in my gym in Deokcheon, Busan they have a decent selection of whey protein. I got a 40 serving x 60g (with 37g of protein et al.) for 70,000w.

About zip codes:

My co-teacher gave me the same kind of address, however the site I was ordering from required a zip code.  I was able to look it up using this website:

http://www.freesearching.com/zip_codes_intl-s.htm

Hope it helps!

I use bodybuilding.com.  Shipping is mega fast, even though I'm out here in the sticks.  Customs did phone me asking what it was (I ordered creatine, testosterone stuff, casein and optimum whey) and wanted to charge extra because the order was around 120k won but my Korean girlfriend spoke to them on the phone and it was fine!

If I bought the same stuff here, it would have cost a fortune (even though 120k is already a lot!)

I just looked at healthkoreaus.com and it seems to have some really good prices I have seen in a while. I have been having a Korean friend order protein for me on that xspeed.co.kr (or something like that) and it was maybe 10,000 won more there.
When i ordered from Bodybuilding.com in the past, they would always decline my credit cards, and when i questioned them about it, they said it was an issue with credit card fraud out here in korea. I had to set it up where i just do bank transfers to them.

If Healthkoreaus.com has a $10 flat shipping fee as a previous poster had written, I think its the best deal around..
