Incheon Shin-Hyeon High School
« on: February 10, 2012, 10:47:13 AM »
I want to say that I really did enjoy working at Incheon Shin-Hyeon High School.  I will not lie to you about the working hours, I had to 28 - 30 teaching hours a week, which is a lot higher than any of the other teachers at the school.  However, the other teachers did have a lot of extra work that they had to do when they were not teaching.  Incheon Shin-Hyeon High School is an Autonomous High School, which means that it gets extra money from the government for the extra programs that are done here at Shin-Hyeon.  I had to teach immersion classes, like music, dance, art, social studies, and home economics.  I had to administer exams which was part of their overall English grade, which made the classes better and no real problems with the students misbehaving.

Overall, the school was good to me and I would encourage anyone to work here, if they want to feel like a real teacher.

Thanks for this insight. I'll be heading to Bokja high school in Cheonan and it was good to at least get some insight into what your high school was like.
