I've lived in Gwangju (great city!) and I currently work at an SLP (in another city) and I love the SLP program!(sorry I can't give you any specifics on that school)

Hey, I haven't worked for the SLP in Gwangju, but I did work for one in another city. The important thing to remember about hagwon chains is that they are usually individually owned. One could be great, others could be awful. We referred to our school as the "slave labor program," if that helps give you an idea of the conditions. Your best bet is always to ask to speak to a foreigner that currently works at the school. Also, I would never recommend going from public school to a hagwon. You will probably be bummed out that you did.
