Hi! I've lived in Namyangju for about 3 years now, so welcome! What high school will you be at? Riding a bike is a good idea. It's really rainy during the summer, last year being especially so, and during the winter it does get kind of snowy, but go for a bike! You can probably find a used one pretty easily.
