Since there was a topic about "What Do You Miss From Home," I'm posting this topic.

I have to admit, I'm in love with my $5 electric bill :)

Also!  Those little pancakes with the sugary bean stuff inside of them.  Those are pretty much my favorite things in the world now, ha ha.

Also!  Full time employment

I would have to say that the transportation system is really good here...i am from Kansas, where there really isn't a transportation system and everyone has a car really.  I like how they are making more subway stations,  too.

3500 Won steaming bowls of spicy soup that has, along with rice and vegetables, various meat parts, which are very natural-looking, without the McDonald's Chicken McNuggets' hey-what-exactly-is-this mysteriousness

A locksmith will come to your house at 3 a.m, with 10 minutes notice, pick the lock within 5 seconds, then feel guilty about charging you 20,000 won so fix your broken intercom system as well.. mental!

Cheap health care, people bowing to me, low cost of living, living in a city.

Not a huge fan of the 70,000won maintenance bill I have to pay every month though... :(

Being able to buy pretty much anything you need to at 10pm. I'm starting to take this for granted and will definately miss it back home! My next job may have to be a restauranteer because I'm going to miss Korean food back in SA! As other have said, the safety is a big plus.. as well as bureaucratic efficiency. I still need to take advantage of the healthcare- what's the best way to do this without actually being ill :) ?

- The scenery. It's amazing to wake up and see a mountain right outside my window.
- The fact that I can go to a grocery store, spend 10 bucks and get all the food I need for the next week.
- Makgeoli and pajeon = my best friends in Korea.
- I love the fact that I can leave my apartment at 1 a.m. and not only find something to do, but find several people with whom to do it. It kinda reminds me of university, but without all the cop raids.
- And last but not least: being able to get completely hammered on 10 bucks!

I agreed until I found the legendary Sung Sim Dang in my town.

I love the coffee culture and 1-2 buck real macchiatos.
