Fun and easy St. Patrick's Day Writing Activity
« on: March 14, 2012, 04:33:52 PM »
So with St. Patty's Day this Saturday, I decided to do a fun writing activity about the color Green! If the students are high level they can do it on their own, if they are lower, I put them in partners. The worksheet is designed like a Mind Map, so students must write all the things they can think of that are the color green. They MUST write in a complete sentence and an example is given on the handout. "A tree is green", etc.... Review possible answers with the class beforehand, but don't do too many or the kids won't be able to think of any others!!!

I also did a St Patrick's Day lesson, which I have posted the plan for. There weren't many resources I needed to use, but I couldn't do a powerpoint as some of my classrooms don't have computers, so I just used  large cartoon style flashcards for the key words. The other resources needed are listed on the lesson plan. I hope this helps someone!
