Prestik and wallpaper
« on: March 20, 2012, 07:30:12 PM »
I brought some Prestik with me because I heard you can't get it here and it's useful for teaching. I'm keen to stick some posters up in my room but am worried it will damage the wallpaper.

Have any of you tried this before?

Prestik is amazing. I'm tempted to give it as gifts to my co-teachers :P

I've used it all over my room (photos, pictures, maps) and there is no damage to the wall paper. Something like tape would damage the wallpaper a lot more, in my experience.

Yeah!!! I dreaded my first year without prestic here and planned to bring back with me, but alas...i FORGOT! I missed it instantly (again)!!. Did you try it on the wall paper? I'm sure they wont mind too much. There are worse things to use...

I missed the stuff too when I first got here.

I have some extra if you really really really want. :)

Prestik is a lot better on wallpaper than tape.

Sorry I am a newbie...Is there nowhere you can get prestic or something similar in SK?
If so...what a pity!

I've never seen anything like it. Neither have my kids, apparently, as they're very curious when they see me using it.

I'd ask a kind soul back home to post me some :)

Apparently something similar has been spotted in Homeplus recently... So if you need some they might have what you're looking for!
Buy books here! Check out the Bookdepository

Prestik seems to be available from the SA Spaza Shop on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/103982269694930/?bookmark_t=group
If that's not the case anyomre, e-mail Vanita Swart (details on the FB group) & she'd probably be able to hook you up :)
