Where is Spring?!
« on: March 30, 2012, 08:15:55 PM »
I am running out of ideas for things to do indoors or bundled up.  Now we have the lovely yellow dust cramping our style.  Man I just want to go to a park or a mini stop and drink some beers outdoors and hike without wearing my winter clothes.  Spring where are you?!

Right around the corner buddy, I played soccer with my kids today with just a t-shirt on. It only feels like winter in the morning and at night.

Yeah, it was kind of nice today, but sitting outside in the evening drinking a Hoegaarden is my favorite relaxing activity.  Come on 12+ degree nights.

Yeah, March was one of the better ones. Sometimes February just repeats itself twice in March and April. My friends and I even had an outdoor barbecue two weeks ago.

We're under a few inches of snow today and it's still coming down hard. We've even had to cancel travelling to one of our schools because of the state of the roads. I agree, where is Spring? It's been Winter for 6 months now...

Where are you? Down here the clouds just parted and it looks like we might be in for another beautiful spring day, with most of the rain having fallen overnight.

Coastal Gangwon-Do. There's a big snow storm hitting Japan and Russia today and it looks like we have the western edge of that system.

I think Gangwon stays snowy way longer than the rest of the Korea. In Gyeongbuk we had a rainstorm overnight, but now that it's cleared up it's almost in the 60s.

Duh, I guess your username should have given me a clue.

I just got an email from my dad, in Vancouver's eastern suburbs, who said they had snow on April Fool's Day. Tales of lousy weather from home always make me feel better.

I definitely have to agree with  this post. I woke up this morning to pouring rain, and I just looked out the window of my classroom to see it snowing. Um...  :o

I am not sure where those of you are who are claiming that March has been warm and mild....  I am in Anyang and it's certainly not the case here.  My wife agrees who has lived here all, but 2 years of her life.
Stings even more when I get pictures of friends in my newsfeed wearing shorts and t's playing sports and bbq'ing back home in Mid-Atlantic US.  Now today it's snowing, not cool Mother Nature.  April 1st was looking ok, then you decided to play a nice joke on us all.... Boo.

My father-in-law insists next week will be great (though he's been saying that since February ended).

All I know is that the past 2 years here it has been freezing/snowing up until around May. This year, I stopped wearing my winter jacket at the beginning of march and have been fine in a hoodie, or at most 2 hoodies. Where everybody said it snowed the other day, I just got rain with a slight bit of freezing rain, but only for about 20 minutes. The rest was just a downpour.
