How much does it cost? I'll buy it.

'Cause time is all we've lost. I'll try it.
Anyway... I'm thinking about going to Hong Kong.
I just checked out a currency calculator and it tells me that every 1000 won is equal to about 7 Hong Kong dollars.
Is Hong Kong very cheap?
If I convert 100,000w ---> ~700HKD will I live like a king for two or three days?
Any first hand experience is appreciated.

In my experience, no you wont. The cheapest hotel we found on line would cost you a lot more than this for a couple of nights, I think we paid more than this per night. The subway is cheap, but the train alone from the airport to the city costs about 300HKD round trip.Add in food and shopping and you'll want a fair bit more money than that, especially if you want to take a day trip to Macau while you're there, (and I would recommend it.)

I went to HK for a long weekend a couple of years ago and it is SUPER expensive. I would budget between 125,000 and 150,000won per day for lodging, food, transportation, sightseeing, shopping etc. Though you can find bargains and be frugal, things are still pricey.
Hong Kong regularly ranks among the most expensive cities in the world. That being said, it is a great place and worth the trip.

Wow.

Personally, I didn't enjoy Hong Kong much. It's great if you've a load of money and like shopping, but I didn't enjoy the sights much apart from the occasional nice view, people seem rude and there are too many people. If you do go, check out Star Avenue at night.
Despite being a really short journey from HK (about an hour on coach), Shenzhen in China is much cheaper and friendlier I think. Not really a great place for tourism though, so not where I'd suggest to take a holiday.
