sezzie:
Let's share our thailand tips ~ from flights, accommodations, what to do and where, secret spots and must do's and see's ! So many of us travel to Thailand so I am sure there is lots to be shared!

I went to Thailand in August 2010: the weather was great except the last 2 days were cloudy and rainy! But not bad for rainy season!

I stayed in Phuket at Patong beach area: at millenium Hotel, it was a 5 star and not bad pricing for what they offered! It was in a perfect location near the beach and Bangla road. Also there is a mall attached where there were dirt cheap facials and massages, all very clean and decent!

I am going again to Phuket, but going to Koh phangan, Koh Sumui and Koh Tao. I checked and there is a half moon party at the time my friend and I will be there in July.

I was wondering if anyone has been to a half moon party and if it was worth going to?! Also where are some little gem spots to stay, see, and do in the above places...whats the best way to travel from one to the other and which is best to do first last etc!

thanks guys   :D

I'm also interested in going this summer and would love to find some places off the beaten track.  Here a couple sites I've been looking at for information.  If I find anything great I'll be sure to post it on here.

I did Thailand last year with my brother and it was one of the most astoundingly beautiful landscapes I've ever seen. I recommend getting away from the city tourists traps and sleaze and venturing into the country.

We rented a car in Phuket for $15 a day U.S. and took the highway north to Khao Sok National Park. It was unbelievable. We canoed down jungle rivers without another person in sight, we slept in floating bamboo raft-houses on a dammed lake and swam in deserted waterfalls.

We did the whole PhiPhi, Phuket, Krabi party thing but looking back all I remember/want to remember (haha) is the astonishing beauty of the forest.

Really want to go to Thailand this summer too. What is the cheapest airline to fly with? Where do you book this? Online?
