Using Google Earth in a lesson.

I've been trying to think of how I could incorporate more interactive/interesting media such as Google Earth into a lesson plan for the future. I was thinking of maybe making a lesson based on finding directions or asking for directions. But I'm wondering if anyone has better ideas.
