i used this lesson and it was great! Additionally i showed some youtube clips for examples from family guy and futurama to show them what those shows were.

I found that when I tried a class like this that it went more smoothly when students worked in groups of 3 or 4 as some are more confident in drawing, some in writing, some in coming up with creative story ideas. As always the best thing with a class like this is that it is something that students are generally interested in.
