Here's a Valentine's Mad Lib worksheet if you need another activity for your lesson.  It's one sheet; I cut it in half, give them the list, and then give them the text.

History of Valentine's Day from the history channel... there are two videos, one with music and one with words but they're the same movie and titled the same way.  Just look below the video at related videos for the other one. Good for upper level classes.

Then some easier reading comprehension worksheets and fun worksheets.  Lastly, some crosswords found on bogglesworld.com which would be good for higher middle school and high school.

This is an amazing powerpoint!

You may want to show the short film, Struck, to help convey the idea of cupid (in modern day life).

Here's the website (it has the short film posted there):

Awesome clip! Thanks so much for that :-)
It's a great short to see regardless of whether you are using it or not.

Thanks for the episode link.

I made a super easy little worksheet to go with the Simpson's episode for my elementary English Club, so that there is actually a bit of English comprehension.

Here's a power-point I made. It's similar to the one posted before. I'm using it for grades 1-6 (removing the translations for grade 5 and 6). The activities and ppt should be enough for at least a 50 minute class! Hope this helps!!

This was supposed to be for my 6th graders for afterschool today. But since no one happened to tell me that their won't be class today  ::), I'm hoping someone else will get some use of it. So this is a very, I repeat, VERY, short and simplified powerpoint with some Korean translations and a lot of pictures for my VERY low level, unusually short attention span 6th grade class all of whom will be graduating in a few days. It can be also be used for 5th grade as well or any other higher level classes of lower grades.

What I had planned was for them to understand the basics of Valentine's and make valentine cards as something fun for their last afterschool class.

Disclaimer: Use your own judgement on slide 7 in the funny cards section. My kids have a funny sense of humor so I know they would've liked that pic. If you're school's conservative, then consider taking it out.

I attached 2 versions; one is for .ppt of the Windows 97/2000/2003 and the other is .odp if you're like me and don't have any Window's Office programs. I hope this helps.
