Yep, it MUST have been his Chinese half doing the stabbing...

I thought the real issue behind that case was the fine police work, or lack of and not the guy's nationality....but who am I to judge what should frighten the locals? Facts or media twists and stereotypes.
And yes, let's pass the buck...unfortunately Chinese (specially the ethnic Korean ones) are harder to spot and more likely to speak Korean well enough to trick the locals, so we will remain targets for racist Koreans who don't discriminate against which foreigners they hate.

what do you mean by "another ethnicity"? They are Koreans by ethnicity... more accurately they're Joseonjoks... Korean immigrants in China. This is a complicated issue and is just not Korea picking another ethnicity to hate on. it's the fact that Koreans started to realize that even though they're of the same people, the influence of being in another country for 1-2 generations makes the people completely different than them.

Something about your words rubbed me the wrong way. You're saying that it took a murder to make Koreans realize that people from other countries are different than them? Are you saying murder is only a problem among people who aren't Korean? Or is it because of the heinousness of the crime? Koreans wouldn't do something that disgusting? I can think of a few examples of heinous crimes by Koreans in Korea, so what is it exactly about this that finally made Koreans realize that people from other countries are different?
