Quick grammar question
« on: December 20, 2010, 12:23:38 PM »
My coteacher just gave me this sentence: "It's time I quit depending on other people and took more charge of my life." The question is why we use simple past tense forms of 'quit' and 'take', rather than simple present or future. Can anyone shed some light on this one?

Thanks! :)
