Looking for a summer intensive Korean course in Seoul.
busanman:
Dear Waygook friends,
I'm looking for a summer intensive Korean course in Seoul for the month of July.
I was thinking about taking a class at the Seoul National University but it's bit expensive.
Any ideas?

Why don't you exchange your languge with other Korean who wants to learn English. If it is possible, I would like to. I am living in BunDang,, near Seoul. I am an English teacher in a Middle school but want to improve my English ability. If you want to exchange ...send a message~

Sogang University has an intensive summer course. I never took their full-time course, but I took their evening classes and they were excellent.

I'm also looking for an intensive summer course in Seoul (I live in the Boonies, so a regular one-class-a-week option isn't available, i have to use my vacation to travel to Seoul)
I started with this site: http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/CU/CU_EN_8_6_2.jsp
And came up with these options:
Donguk 7-16 7-20 400K
8-13 8-17 400K
7-2 7-20 700K
8-6 8-25 700K
Ewha 7-3 7-19 700K
8-7 8-24 700K
Hanjang 8-6 8-17 770K
Hanguk 8-6 8-31 ?
Konkuk 8-9 8-27 600K
SNU 8-6 8-24 650K
IICE 8-6 8-21 710K
8-8 8-14 600K
Yonsei 8-7 8-28 1000K
If, like me, your school vacation is from about 7-19 to 8-20, then really the only options are Hanjang and IICE.
Finding the sort of program I'm looking for has become surprisingly tricky. Good luck! and keep me updated on what you find.

Depending on your level, I recommend Sogang or Yonsei.
A lot of my friends are in both programs, and the general impression is that Sogang is good for lower-level students who need a lot of speaking practice. Yonsei is good for more advanced levels because they focus more on reading/writing.
Don't know how the time periods would work out with your teaching schedule, though. Good luck!
