The teacher before me left her pre-paid phone for me to use. Once the minutes ran out, I tried to add more, but couldn't since my ID didn't match the phone title. So I tried to change the title, but couldn't do that either, because I didn't have a copy of her ARC and they just wouldn't do it, even with my co-teacher there insisting that this foreigner was gone forever.
It turned out to be a sweet deal. It was my understanding that within a certain time frame the phone would be deactivated or something. Instead I have been getting unlimited text messages as well as domestic and international calls on it the whole time (over a year)! I have a land line as well, so I'm not really concerned at getting a new cellular phone that I can call out on. This expired phone has saved me a TON of money. So sad SK, you really lost out. You should have let me change the title!
