Reward System
(1/1)
topaz:
Please help! :o I think it will be better to have a reward system. So in this way I can reward them and punish them. (And maybe have more control over the class). My co-teacher didn't think it was necessary for one, but now she agrees with me.
Can any of you maybe give me some good examples of a reward system?

I'm currently at a hagwon, so you might have to switch this up a little bit, but we use a Lucky Box. We give the kids a sticker sheet that has about 25 blank places for stickers or stamps. When the kids do their homework or have excellent behavior in class, they get a sticker. After a certain amount of stickers, the kids get to get something out of the lucky box, which is filled with all kinds of candy and toys. This works for all of the elementary and middle school students at our school.

I used some candies or biscuits for my studnets but it didn't work. So I don't use them any more. Instead, I want to use point system.

I award game time for good behaviour. At the beginning of class, I write, "10 minute game time" on the board. If the class gets too noisy, or if a student misbehaves, I take a minute from game time. I find it effective because, if a student misbehaves, the others keep him/her in check so they don't lose game time.
