Hi everyone! Looking at GEPIK or EPIK spring 2013 - will this be possible?

Hello!  :D

I'm a uni student living in Wellington, NZ and graduating at the end of the year. However graduation isn't until may 2013, although apparently I can get a letter from the university saying that I graduated. Or otherwise just try to graduate in absentia? Also still need to do a TEFL course - I am looking at http://onlineteflcourse.com/, which is the one that are partners (?) with Korvia. Also looking at using Korvia as my agency. Am I likely to be able to organise my documents in time and apply for spring 2013, or should I just wait and go for autumn 2013?

Thanks. I hope this post makes sense  ::)

Better to apply for spring I think... Korean school year starts in spring so if you apply in autumn you are coming in halfway through the school year, thus it is not ideal.

I concur. It's way better to start your teaching year when your kids start their school year. Coming in midway means you'd have to hit the ground running, trying to adjust to the language, culture, classroom management styles and learning all your kids names only to have to do it all again with your next batch the following year, like I did. It can be a bit daunting.

Check for other regions as backup options as well, as GEPIK (anywhere near Seoul, really) tends to fill up really quickly.

Thanks! Sounds like spring is definitely going to be preferable then! Hopefully I can get all my documents sorted in time. After thinking about it, I don't think that I am too fussy about where I go, especially as I won't be applying as early as others (due to not being to get paperwork together in time), so I will apply for everything that I can.

Also wondering at what stage of the application process do you need to send your documents (such as bachelor cert)? Before or after being offered a job? Thanks.
