Hi, I'm seeking travel companions to visit Mongolia in late July this year.
I'm interested in visiting the Gobi desert, and staying in a Ger.
I plan to head to Ulanbataar and stay in a hostel, and arrange a trip from there, as I have heard it is less expensive this way.

Sadly my hols don't start until August 11th, so I won't be able to join you, but have you looked into flights yet? If so, what was the best deal you stumbled across?

best price I have seen is around $650-75 USD. Sorry don't have the exact number in my head. Seems a bit steep for a 3.5 hr flight.
Also, I emailed a hostel about prices for tours and such and never heard back. Golden Gobi is the name.

My vacation kicks off this July 28th and will be in Beijing by 29th and then will take the TransMongolian Train from Beijing to Ulaanbator so I'm expecting an overall stay in Mongolia from July 30-Aug 12.
Are your dates similar to mine? Looking for people so I could save cost for tours.. I'm more interested in doing camel, horse trekking, and staying in gers.. This is probably one of the most unique country in Asia so i'm stoked!
Let me know your plans... Anyone else?
