When faxing to America, what # should be dialed

Hi, am trying to fax some documents to the U.S. Do I dial 01 1 the  area code and then the number?

I needed to send a fax to the U.S. a few months ago and ran into some problems -- the biggest being that in order to send a fax internationally, you need a special fax machine.  The one at my school wasn't one.  If yours is, this site is helpful.

I wound up going to a FedEx in Seoul to send my fax.  If you're close, they are all over Gangnam.

or scan it, email it to your parents, and have them fax it from work (or the grocery store).
