How the grinch stole christmas 1966
« on: December 22, 2010, 09:06:41 pm »
I was wondering if anyone out there knows where i can find subtitles for the original "How the Grinch stole christmas" 1966 TV cartoon version. Not the terrible Jim Carry Grinch of 2000.

If anyone knows anything it would be much appreciated.

thanks

I've (hopefully) attached the (English) subtitles for the Grinch cartoon. If you wanted the Korean ones, I apologize.
They worked on my GOM player when I used the cartoon.

In order to upload the subtitles, I changed them to a .doc file. You'll need to change the ".doc" to ".smi."
Just make sure the file name on the smi file is exactly the same as the video file (_________.smi) , and put them together in the same folder. You'll also need to turn on the subtitle option in your GOM player.

Well there's subtitles for the new one. Pretty much all your Korean subtitles will be on gom

Yep, I tried that thread already. I did my waygook searching and my googling, to no avail, So I was hoping someone might have them hiding around. Also, kps, I have been able to find subs for the new one, but I'm looking for the original, '66 version, but thanks.

The Korean sub scene doesn't seem to have much interest in classic English movies. Finding stuff for a movie more than 10 years old is almost always impossible.

If you right-click the screen there is a pop up menu. One of the side menus 자막 has options like <0.5 and >0.5 that can be used to sync subtitles and audio.

Thank you in the above directions, he talked about converting word doc into smi format and then with the video you do something else. I am trying to download the video and then put in in Gom. From there add the subtitles that were made in word doc but I don't know how to do it. If anyone knows how please let me know because I don't mind skyping or calling you for directions thanks!

I spent a good hour and a half trying to convert through various complicated methods, then I discovered an easier way. I will post the txt document with this. From there just go to windows settings and have it show file types (ie document names will end with .txt .doc etc..) then change the .txt on attached file to .smi and make sure it has the same name as the movie file.

Seconded! I'm not having any luck figuring out how to use torrents and am not sure what's a reliable one to try. Some advice would be extremely appreciated.

At any rate, I made a bomb game from the Pororo template (it has a winter theme!) to play with my 3rd grade campers after the movie. It's just a simple repeat-the-sentence game using screenshots from the YouTube video.

How did you make screenshots from youtube video and did you showed them the movie with Korean subtitles.
