Gimhae Bound

(1/2) > >>

mariposaa@:
Greetings! My name is Kathie. I am Canadian. I am fifty-five years young and single.

I have taught in South Korea before and I headed over to Gimhae, in a month, for another stint. I could not find a facebook group, or any online group for Gimhae, so I started up a facebook group called 'Glimmers of Gimhae.' I hope that if you are in Gimhae, have lived there, or considering it, that you will check out my page and put your mark on it. ^^

I am not into the bar scene but if there is a nice club in Gimhae where one can enjoy a glass of wine and some jazzy music I am into it. I am hoping to get a monthly art club/group up and running in August.

If you have no laughter in your heart you will turn into a stone. ~ KML

I have never heard of the place, but if you would like to start a new social network let me know.  I am trying to get people invovled in chess in S. Korea.  Not many people play here but I think its a great idea.

Thanks for the hello.

Gimhae is near Busan. I do not do chess. Best of luck in getting your social group together.  :)

 ;D BUMP!!!

Hey there, you all!

What's up in Gimhae? I'm headed there June 26/2012. Just wanted to say hello.
If you live in Gimhae, have lived there or want to please drop me a line or two or...

I lived in Gimhae for 3.5 months last year and loved the community there.  It's a college town of sorts (due to Inje University) but it has so many hidden treasures.  They have wonderful thrift stores to shop in, mountains to hike (around the Busan area), Suro Palace is nice to walk around in...there's a wonderful orphanage to volunteer at nearby the subway station.  I enjoyed every second of my time being there, so I feel quite envious!
