I've never had a 'wow' moment in a city outside Europe. Seoul's just par for the course.

Guys, take a trip to Cape Town, South Africa, beautiful sprawling city, has its dodgy places like all cities but wow most of it is stunning. Sorry I am biased, but anyone who has been there will agree. ;D ;D

Semi-related: This topic is, at least for me, serving the dual purpose of letting me know where to consider (and where not to) for vacation.
Hong Kong failed to impress me because it was an uglier and more expensive version of Jiangmen City (where I lived in China). Clubbing isn't exactly a huge draw for me because I can do it basically anywhere. The nightlife was decent, though the vibe was thoroughly unfriendly.

Really? Were have you been outside Europe besides Korea?
I can think of plenty of 'wow' moments in the US and around Asia. Plenty of places have put me in awe. Beijing is the first that comes to mind, but there's plenty of others, too. (admittedly, apart from a school trip to France and 2 school trip to Canada, I've never traveled anywhere other than in Asia).

I've seen plenty of spectacular places in Asia and North America, but none of them have been in cities.
North American cities are the dullest places on Earth: just a bunch of straight lines, boring skyscrapers, and no history. As least Asia has chaos going for it.
