How do I get my laptop to automatically recognize multiple IPs?

Awesome!! Thanks...is that something I'll only have to do once? Considering I'm in that menu twice a day, I'm a little ashamed that I never noticed the alternate config tab...

yeah, by doing it this way, it tries to get an ip address through dhcp and if that fails, then tries to use the manually entered ip settings.
no muss, no fuss
i also do this with my personal notebook as i often take it to school

I tried it this morning...didn't work :(
