Atop/ETIK

Does anyone know anything about Atop/ETIK recruiting agency? I just started working with them (a woman named Narae), and things just seem to be moving rather quickly. I'm simply afraid of getting a job with a hogwan that won't fulfill the contract or something. I have never taught overseas and I'm trying to avoid being naive. Anything helps!

Hey Joshua,

I went through them, and I was surprised how quickly they placed me, but everything has been fine for me. I didn't talk with Narse (the woman I dealt with has now left), but as long as you explicitly tell them you don't want to work in a Hagwon, then I think you should be fine.

Good luck!

So here's a newbie question.  What's wrong with teaching at a hogwan?

ATOP/ETIK is great. I worked with Jeanny and she got me a public school job in Geoje. Good luck interviewing with Daniel Lee, you will need it.
