i will be travelling for holiday in philippines.  i plan to use my visa debit card to withdraw pesos for most of my money.  however... as far as cash goes.  would i be better off to change to USD here and then change to PhP there?  or take my won over there and hope for good rate?  i beleive that latter option is better... but wanted to throw this idea out there and get some other feedback.

check the rates on oanda.com - I'm traveling soon and found it was better to change it at KEB bank (they have pretty good rates) and take it over with me :)

Yes but they will rip you off like no tomorrow. There are about 5-6 individual currency exchanges, all with terrible rates. It's a good introduction to Bali
