Where the wild things are.
« on: January 05, 2011, 12:22:27 pm »
I collected a few slideshows and worksheets from other users and then edited them to put together my own lesson. Its got a blank fill exercise, new vocabularly with space for children to write in Korean and then a worksheet for them to create their own monster. Im planning on using it for a 3rd/4th grade elementary class but im sure you could use it with other age groups. Hope you find it useful.

Thank you for this! I wanted to do an animal/monster related lesson and Where the Wild Things Are is the perfect book for it!

Thank you for this!  I've been planning on doing a 'Make your own monster' lesson for my after school class for a while now.  Thanks again!

Here is the worksheet but with the Korean definitions provided for the new words (courtesy of my co-teacher) for those of you who teach this lesson w/o a co-teacher.

Amazing job.  It took me about 0.005 seconds to decide to use this in my camp on Monday.  I'll let you know how it goes.

UPDATE: I made your story worksheet into a cloze activity.  In pairs, one student has the A sheet and the other has the B sheet.  They take turns reading sentences and filling in the missing words.

UPDATE2: I used this in class and it went well.  I also used a reading of the story:
