Niseko Snowboard trip....Advice on How I can get to Japan for Spring vacation

Hey folks
wondering if anyone has good advice on how I can get to Sapporo for spring vacation (preferably the cheapest way). Have a place to crash when I get there and my principal decided I didn't use all my winter vacation days, so needless to say, I want to make the most of this chance! I don't know if the ferry makes sense since I'd be going to Sapporo, but to be honest, I don't know a thing about flying/trains/anything getting around Japan. Appreciate any help all. Happy vacation time!

Try to get a flight into Sapporo. Train travel is crazy crazy expensive in Japan, so taking the ferry over from Busan doesn't make much sense.
