mteacher:
Hey everyone!

My co-teacher hasn't been at school all week and I think he has vacation next week also..and theres no one here to help me... so this is what happened...

I ordered my boyfriend some lacoste cologne off gmarket for his birthday (in 3 weeks).  I got it this morning and it's the tester, with some other samples and a note in korean, with 10 000 won taped to it..  I google translated to the best of my korean-handwriting-reading abilities and the only parts I could translate said:

You have some difference from the store 10
buy empty perfume weeks In old sections and France would eat it

I think they only have 10 in a store or something and ordering from france would take weeks??? maybe???  But now they've given me a tester bottle... which is almost full (about 1cm less)...  the cap should be ok (even though it says tester!!!!!) because my boyfriend has a bit left in his old la coste bottle, so he can use that cap... but it just feels cheap to give him a tester bottle of cologne for his birthday and i think it's a bit cheeky of the store to send it... i feel they could have phoned me (i'd give the phone to a korean teacher) because then I could have canceled and ordered somewhere else...

So... does anyone know how to return items on Gmarket??  Or am I being silly about it (all the guys out there - would you mind if you got a tester bottle)... ??

The.it.girl:
Id be mad as hell if someone gave me a tester anything for my BIRTHDAY!!! A regular day id welcome it!!! So get him something else and give him the cologne 3 days later^^

hotpotato:
It is possible to return items on Gmarket. You can send a message to the seller, and they should get back to you and tell you that a delivery service will pick it up. That happens 9/10 times. As for it being a tester, if you got a discount for it, then I personally wouldn't be too bothered. They sell testers a lot here and I've bought a few for discounted prices, though I understand it might seem tacky being a gift and all. But having a boyfriend myself I would say that he probably wouldn't care, he'll just be happy to have more of his favorite scent. Maybe you can remove the 'tester' sticker?

Be sure to write a review for the seller on gmarket!

I orderd some colonge on G market last year. Because of the very low price I thought it might possibly be a tester when I recieved it and it turned out it was. I was a little upset it wasnt the real deal but since it was so cheap and was for me it was still a great deal for 30,000. There is no difference between the tester and the real product but becuse its for a gift I can understand your disapointment. Send it back and get a real one.  :)

boticelli:
Give him the tester along with the story (and whatever else you've gotten him). I think it's pretty funny.  The story, thought and effort you put into it is the real gift, anyway.
