I met her a couple times.  She was very nice and really tried her best at helping out teachers.  It is a shame to see her go.

I have always found Dain Bae to be less than helpful. Wenise Kim, her predecessor, was much better at helping teachers.

I didn't check my email yesterday, so today I opened this note from Grace Hwang the coordinator for the Dongducheon Yangju District Office of Education. She covers: Yeoncheon, Pocheon, and  Gapyeong. Her letter font was black, I added the colours.

Hello GEPIK teachers,

I think autumn is on it's way.. It's getting much cooler in the morning and evening.. and it's also an easy time to catch a cold if you're not careful.

From the previous email I sent, some of you may have realized that my name is no longer on the coordinator contact list. I just wanted to inform you that I will be leaving my position as GEPIK coordinator to pursue a new challenge.

Officially, my last day will be this Friday, but I wanted to just reach out and make sure you are don't hangin on a confused note.

There won't be a coordinator who will be taking over my place. We (us, GEPIK coordinators) have re-arranged our covering districts so we still cover all of Gyeonggi province among those remaining.

So, Ms Victoria Oh, who has been working at the Goyang District Office of Education for the past two years, will be covering the district once I finish here.

Her contacts-Email: victoria@goe.go.kr, Office Number: 031-900-2858

Thank you all again for the memories I am taking away from here, and I wish you all the luck in your future!!

 Best regards, Grace

I wonder if anyone else has recently received a resignation notice from their district coordinator.

I haven't received anything from mine...but I think that there will be a re-structure away from the current model where coordinators take care of individual cities...and toward a more centralized model.  I should say that this is just my opinion based on what your email said and a couple of other things.  According to a post just a few posts above this...a chart was sent out with the new list of coordinators with Dain's notice that she was resigning.  I'm sure that if you were curious you could find the chart...either throughout the GEPIK website (actually, your co-ordinator mentions that she already sent the contact list to you in a previous email).

If you post the list here, then people can check to see if their co-ordinator has changed.

Maybe the title of the thread will give you a clue.
The Ks once gave me five minutes notice. I didn't know what to do with the extra time.

I'm attaching her original letter which includes the chart.  Her resignation letter was a PDF but I was able to convert it to Word to copy and paste the text in my earlier post.  However, the PDF to Word conversion program does not work well with charts.  If anyone knows how to post the chart so everyone doesn't have to download it to view it, please do it and let us know how.

Thanks for that...I reckon anyone who wants to know can get of their arse and download the pdf...it's not a huge inconvenience!
