Body Parts lesson plan
outthere:
I did this lesson plan last semester with all three levels of my middle school, modifying slightly due to proficiency levels.
I made double sided worksheets , one for labeling the face and the other side for labeling body parts.
After filling in the worksheet was completed , lower level classes played Simon says and we did the hokie pokie.
The hokie pokie was a bit juvenile so i switched the 2nd level classes into doing the Cha Cha slide.
The kids really enjoyed the Cha Cha slide and it also helped with learning commands. (slide, reverse, etc)
We also played a team game where each member of the team would take turns drawing the body part I called out and holding it up for a point.
I think I deleted my worksheets for labeling but you can simply google body outlines and use art to make the lines for labeling.

Here are the .mp3 and .wav files for "The Cha Cha Slide"

i thought i'd add a post to here too!
i did a body lesson with my winter camp students. they were grades 3 and 4 so it's low level. 80 minutes long.
what we actually did:
vocab
run and draw game
paper challenge
trace body
tracing the body could have easily taken up 40 minutes. this was a body/craft lesson so it was the majority of the time for the 80 minute lesson.
they loved the run and draw game, as well as the paper challenge and of course tracing the body.

Here are three worksheets I made for a body parts lesson. The first two require writing (so possibly a bit higher level than 1st/2nd grade). The third is a matching worksheet (words to pictures).

Here is a body parts scramble worksheet I made. I used the hangeul to make it so make sure you have the program. I did not include an answer key but I think most of you can figure it out.
