Great lessons, they were a fantastic help, however on the grade 2 lesson it asks what "gochu" tastes like... it is slang for penis... It was a rather hilarious mishap

If anyone has any ideas, please share. Here are some materials I used for grade 6 elementary school on the theme of making invitations. They can easily be adapted.

Grade 1 Lesson 4 "Welcome to my Dol Party"

This was my open class for last year so the PPT is fairly fancy

The PPT explains how to do the Invitation Activity at the end. The 5 different worksheets are to be handed out randomly amongst the students so they all have different open slots in their calenders to make the activity more fun and interesting. It's a tad bit complicated but the students enjoyed it once they understood what to do.

Grade 3 Lesson 5 coming at you. This lesson focuses on both dialogues and some important shopping expressions. A quick note for anybody who uses it. I changed the first key expression from "Do you have any other ones?," to "Do you have anything else?," because I felt it flows better.

P.S. Thanks Machoman for the powerpoint. I used some of your ideas in my powerpoint.

Here is a lesson for the speak out chapter 1 lesson 1 for the first grade book. I had to stretch the material a bit by having them split into groups and role play the conversations. I also went through this long exercise where I had the students tell me about the different kinds of weather in the 4 seasons of Korea and then describe what they would want to have with them during each one.

Here is my lesson for first grade speak out chapter 2. I filled some of the time with role play and a class survey about their favorite foods, seasons, colors, etc.

This is my lesson for first grade speak out Chapter 4. I used up some of the class time by having the students form a line and then answer questions one by one using the responses we had discussed in class.

This is my lesson for first grade speak out 5. It did not take up the whole period, so I played a sentence unscramble game for the last 15 min or so. You could probably make out a work sheet for this chapter pretty easily.

This lesson went surprisingly well today. It was grade 3, lesson 4 (Are you following me?). I built it into giving directions. I'm attaching the handout and accompanying powerpoint. This lesson took me the whole class time, but I recommend shortening the intro part-- it's way too long!

For this lesson, you need to steal Korean subway maps (one for each kid in class). It makes the lesson really real and the kids enjoyed it. I gave them directions, line by line, and they had to figure out where I was meeting TOP for our date.

Hope someone can use it. It's real and the kids find it interesting to have something that's so relevant to use. I was shocked with how little my students traveled the subway in Seoul.
