Wonder Facts Lesson Plan

Leson taken from esl-galaxy and adapted by me.

1. Start by looking at question formation matching sheet.

   * Get students to write 2 questions.

   * Get a couple of students to write their question on the board.

2. Do Worksheet Quiz show with kids.

   * Give answer & kids have to make the question. (Jeopardy style)

   - Eg T: The year was 80 A.D.
S: When was the Colosseum built?
(Or in my students case: “Ahh... When ahh Colosseum make?”)

   * For Bonus points, give answers not on the worksheet & get students to                                                                                                                                                          make the question.
   - Eg T: Park Ji Sung
S: Who is the best football player?
(Typhoon questions lesson might be useful here... or a geography lesson if you want to keep it on the same theme.)

Awards:
  * 1 point for correct answer
  * 1 point for correct question word
(using "who" for a person instead of "what")
   * bonus 2 points if the complete question is correct
(eg. "Who is the best soccer player in Korea?" instead of "Who soccer Korea best-uh?")

Some more material I made to go with this lesson.

I give the students the "Nine Questions" handout. Then I show them the pictures in the powerpoint. They write the answer under the correct question.

*May not work so well in Word.*
