Great! Thank you so much! I am going to try this as soon as I can. I usually work on a MAC, so I'm in any case not clued up with Microsoft Office.

Thank you for this! I was trying to get a computer tech into my classroom but if I can do it on my own I would much rather not hassle anyone at school. Sorry for such a simple question, but how can I tell if it is microsoft 2003?  Thanks!

Thanks, this has been super helpful  :D I was getting so frustrated with the Korean office 2003 and I couldn't remember what the English equivalents were since I long ago upgraded to Vista.

If it's Office 2003, when you open Word it will look like this: http://cdn.devicemag.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/word-2003-example.gif. Word 2007 will look like this: http://www.baycongroup.com/word2007/images/01_Word2007Screen.gif. Basically the top part of the screen will look completely different.

If I have Office 2007, will this link work? http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=3

Haven't tried this at school yet but plan to as soon as I get there since this was one of the first problems I encountered!  Thanks!

Thanks to OnlyJoe for the files and to MattMendell for the Prezi thing!

I've been here a year and been begging them for an English version of Office (especially now that they're really pushing PowerPoint).

Installed it both on my office computer and on my classroom computer...works beautifully! (Although on my office computer I had to delete the files and re-download them before it worked)...this is a massive help!!!!

Hrm, I did the suggested tweaks for 2007 but I got an alert message after ticking the boxes for English. It was written in an orange box and said

"변경 내용을 적용하려민 모든 Microsoft Office 프로그램을 종료한 다음 다시 시작하십시오."

Closed ppt as suggested, restarted it: Korean.
Checked the language menu again--still English.
Restarted my computer, still Korean.
Checked the language menu again--still English.

Anyone got a clue what I should get from that?

Spin dry only works for 10 minutes at a time for me and seems to need water...? (wtf) My washing machine is driving me nuts, I swear. Anyone else not able to augment their spin dry time?

Damn. My school has 2007. I guess that just means I'm going to be making my PPTs at home then, because I am not dragging my big laptop to work. Unless there's something to be done with Office 2007 now?
