@ bern, Graumpot and other ME fans

Have you seen the new scans for ME3? Here they are:
http://gamegasm.wordpress.com/2011/04/08/first-information-and-screens-of-mass-effect-3-released/

WARNING to paladin777 & michelle
there are spoilers there so beware!

@ michelleh >  Glad you're enjoying ME2, it's a fantastic game... now if only we could all just play that instead of working.. am I right?  ;D

Can't wait for ME3. Those scans look great.  :D
Just finished ME2 at the weekend... the suicide mission was much more fun than I thought it was going to be, but frustratingly one of my characters died during it. No idea what I did wrong. I had her loyalty and all. Anyway, it gave me an excuse to jump right back in again (Renegrade Infiltrator this time). It's weird... I've finished many games, and wanted to replay them straight away, but I always had to wait for a few months before it felt fresh enough for me to do so... this is the first game I've ever immediately restarted, and I'm actually enjoying it more second time around.

So the PSN is still down. Anyone else annoyed/affected by this?

I'm annoyed that I just got an email from the PSN saying that our personal information has been released.  >:(

Last month, I just updated my credit card info with my new card. Very frustrating.

It will supposedly be up next Tuesday in a limited fashion. It was hacked and 77 million users personal data was retrieved. There's probably an email in your inbox or spam folder from PSN (or will be soon) telling you what was released. Ugh.

The dreaded email in full for those who haven't received it yet.

Valued PlayStation Network/Qriocity Customer:

We have discovered that between April 17 and April 19, 2011, certain PlayStation Network and Qriocity service user account information was compromised in connection with an illegal and unauthorized intrusion into our network. In response to this intrusion, we have:

1)     Temporarily turned off PlayStation Network and Qriocity services;

2)     Engaged an outside, recognized security firm to conduct a full and complete investigation into what happened; and

3)     Quickly taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our network infrastructure by re-building our system to provide you with greater protection of your personal information.

We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and goodwill as we do whatever it takes to resolve these issues as quickly and efficiently as practicable.

Although we are still investigating the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state/province, zip or postal code), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have been obtained. While there is no evidence that credit card data was taken at this time, we cannot rule out the possibility.  If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, to be on the safe side we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained.

For your security, we encourage you to be especially aware of email, telephone, and postal mail scams that ask for personal or sensitive information. Sony will not contact you in any way, including by email, asking for your credit card number, social security, tax identification or similar number or other personally identifiable information. If you are asked for this information, you can be confident Sony is not the entity asking.  When the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services are fully restored, we strongly recommend that you log on and change your password.  Additionally, if you use your PlayStation Network or Qriocity user name or password for other unrelated services or accounts, we strongly recommend that you change them, as well.

To protect against possible identity theft or other financial loss, we encourage you to remain vigilant to review your account statements and to monitor your credit or similar types of reports.

We thank you for your patience as we complete our investigation of this incident, and we regret any inconvenience.  Our teams are working around the clock on this, and services will be restored as soon as possible. Sony takes information protection very seriously and will continue to work to ensure that additional measures are taken to protect personally identifiable information. Providing quality and secure entertainment services to our customers is our utmost priority.  Please contact us at www.eu.playstation.com/psnoutage should you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,
Sony Network Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment Teams

I can't believe that this happened more than a week ago, and Sony is just now announcing that users' personal information has been compromised. What the hell were they doing all last week?

They are trying to protect themselves and us, I guess. The awesome thing is that my PSN account was with my old email and I dont have a credit card, so Im really not worried about my info. I feel sorry for Sony. People shouldn't blame Sony (too much), instead blame the bustid that did this. Such a stupid thing to do. This hacker didn't only attack Sony, but its users. So Sony is just as much of a victim as we are.

Anyways, I got BATMAN! AND MW2! Its awesome...I wanna get fifa 11 now so i can play against you people (or wait for 12?)... And maybe tekken 6...

Agreed. I read on the BBC that the PS3 is trailing behind XBOX and Wii and Sony are in a bit of financial trouble, this will only make things worse.

PS3 should be kicking Microsoft and Nintendo's ass it's freaking awesome!!

Does anyone know how much a PS3 costs here? I'm kind of tempted to get my family to sell my one back home and buy one here, if I sign up for another year.

Have a look on gmarket maybe? It's a good idea to get one if you are a gamer. Especially when the network comes back up :)

Have done. Though even on the 'English' version, I can't read what the difference is between the 500k and 400k ones and if they're new, used, which versions, etc.

I checked and it'd cost too much to ship my old one here, so I have been thinking about getting one again.

On a PS3 tip...

I'm addicted to Final Fantasy 3 for iPhone / iPad at the moment. I feel ridiculous, I'm a grown man. But it's just so addictive!!
