Can anyone help me to find the book index for my middle school books? The second grade is yellow anf third grade is pink. It has the name Daniel Ryan Keller on the front. I csn't seem to find anything for these books here.

Thank you so much for making this thread. This is my my first time tecahing in Korea. I'm tecahing middle school and my school uses these books extensively. This is only my second week of teaching so being able to share ideas with other teachers relevant to book has proven very helpful for me. I look forward to adding to this thread and coming up with new ideas.

hot damn!  just hacked the doosan website (in a matter of speaking) and was able to pull out a link for the grade 1 textbook!  so, the full list:

http://textbook.doosandonga.com/update/mid_enkim1/players/middle.html
(IE only (first page loads in any browser, but on chrome and mozilla there's some poor scripting preventing the actual lesson content from loading))

http://textbook.doosandonga.com/update/mid_enkim2/ETBookBase.htm
http://textbook.doosandonga.com/update/mid_grade2_en_kim_new/ETBookBase.htm

http://textbook.doosandonga.com/update/mid_grade3_eng_kim/start.htm
(IE only)

PLEASE DON'T GO SPREADING THIS TOO WIDELY!  it's easy for them to track their website traffic, and if they notice that they're getting a large number of people accessing their books without having logged in first they might go back and fix the holes in their security.  we don't want that.

the directions that sheila posted a while back take you to a site that has a link to the online version.  when you click on the link, a popup window tells you that only teachers (that have registered) on the site have access, but if you look at the link it's simple a javascript redirect command with the address right in the call parameters!  man, that's sloppy design.  so, thanks sheila, and whoever it was that first gave the links to the other books.  i had no idea that these were online until a few hours ago.

grade 1: the initial page is really small in IE for some reason (probably a fixed resolution attribute), but click on any one of the lessons and it will expand to the full window size.
grade 2: there are two links now, and both work (and they're not pointing to the same location).  so, one is likely being updated, and the other not.  i'm guessing the "new" one is the one to use.

the online grade 1 is not the current version, though.  if you use the cds at your school and let it update program run when it loads, you'll have noticed that some time during this school year the company added a 'skip' button for the initial logo screen, like the grade 3 books have always had.  that's not in the online version i've linked to, hence it's not the current version.  no idea if the current version is online.  (the differences are really minor, so it's not a big deal.)

the cool thing is that if you do a google search for this: site:textbook.doosandonga.com/update
you'll get a list of results with links to the online versions of a bunch of their other textbooks, now freely accessible.
have you ever wanted to learn middle school level chinese characters in korean?  well, i know you haven't, but still: textbook.doosandonga.com/update/mid_hanja/intro.swf

anyways, now you can stop lugging your books to and from home when doing your lesson planning.

Thank god for this thread!  My co-teacher seems a bit frazzled and I wasn't really able to ask her any questions because she was running around sorting other things out the whole time I was with her.  She did manage to dump these books in my lap as we were leaving though.  At least I have something to go off of now to help me figure out just what I am supposed to be doing!  Thanks a ton!  You've made my life so much less stressful!

I'm using these books, too. As of right now, I am supposed to be teaching the Listen and Talk section for each lesson, and I was told each lesson should take 2 weeks. I'm feeling a bit uncertain about my students' ability levels/how long each activity will end up taking, so planning the lessons is a bit strange. Suggestions on how to get a handle on this are welcome.

Thank you so much for an immensely helpful corner of the Internet. I have been thrown into four schools, and I barely understand the textbooks or anything else happening; I use these books, so I'm sure it will help me out in a jiff. Once I have become more comfortable with my PPT and lesson planning skills I shall return the favour doubly.

Wow thanks for this! I have just one question though. I was given these books and told that we weren't actually using them, they were just to help me get an idea of the students' levels. Each of these lessons that I've been looking at seems really jumbled and illogically paced. Bouncing from questions to basic present tense, to gerunds, back to questions, etc. Does anyone have a general idea of the basic curriculum for these classes, loosely based on whatever these books are meant to be teaching. I have a year 1 class, and a mix of years 2&3 in another class, so that creates a whole other issue. Any help or tips in regards to this would be greatly appreciated. And again, thanks for all the help with this book already!

I arrived in Korea two weeks ago as well, and this site has such great resources.  I am so happy to have so many other teachers who are doing the same as me.  I was a bit worried, but now I feel much more at ease.  I will be teaching out of books 1,2, and 3. So I will post anything I think of.

any idea how long we have to spend on each lesson in middle school grade 2/3? I know it depends on their level and ability but should it take a max of 2/3 classes??
