Mario bomb game with questions from Chapters 7,8 and 9. This is geared more towards my lower level kids. Good luck and have fun desk warming with the upcoming midterm days!

Here's my review quiz for Grade 2 Chapters 7 to 9.

Thanks to previous posters for the lucky wheel quiz, which I've adapted.

I've added a variety of stuff from the textbook, and specify that the students have to make dialogs.

Hope it's useful.   :)

Hey JJWON,

Great game!  My kids went nuts for it.  I noticed one error, or perhaps, I didn't do something properly.  But on one of the mystery ball slides (red, green, blue) when all the teams lose their points (Team Rocket), there was no hyperlink back to game.

Yes, I forgot about that issue. I usually just clicked a slide back or forward and am able to get back to main menu that way. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to fix the problem.

CHPT 10-12 BOOK SCAVENGER HUNT!

i have typed up a one page scavenger hunt worksheet. the students should use their main book (not activity) to find the answers. I make it a race and the first, second, and third people to finish get stamps, stickers, candy, or whatever.

it's not so much a review of material as a good "busy work" day and getting the kids to work in their books  :D
this took about the whole class time with my intermediate students.

*** #15 is a question about a slang lesson i taught recently, so you may wanna change that ***
~ enjoy ~ *^^* ~

lessons 10-12 powerpoint/game:

1. review worksheets--4 [easy] pages of matching, unscramble, and fill in the blank for lessons 10-special. includes terminology from the animal idiom song [see my posts in lesson 11]. copied them onto one piece of double-sided b4 paper.

2. powerpoint--check all the worksheet answers + typhoon-type review game. it goes in sequence instead of letting students choose numbers/letters, so if you don't want to include some of my questions you can easily delete them. 54 slides.

a review game for lessons 10, 11 and the special lesson using a jeopardy format in powerpoint.

a fair warning:  there's a fair bit of korean in this one.  lesson 11 dealt with how to ask for a translation and meanings, so there are questions like the dialogues in the book.  as well, the 'grammar' category has them doing korean to english translation to practice the grammar points involved.

there's an example file to tell them the rules (adjustable to whatever suits your class, of course), and to get them to practice answering using the required format and to familiarize them with the categories and question formats.

for the real game:
- the little arrow in the corner returns to the game board
- once a category is finished, click on the category name to clear the boxes.  as you do this the final question button will be revealed.  careful when clicking on it: make sure the cursor is a hand icon, not the pointer icon.
- i had them wager their points on the last question.  see the attached word files for the sheets i used.

Review Bomb

This is a bomb game with review questions for chapters 8 and 9. I got students to make teams of 4 and gave them all whiteboards so that even though only one team got to choose at the beginning, all teams got to play for points.  It runs pretty long though, so you might want to cut it down a bit.  There's a video for one of the questions too in round two:

Enjoy.

here's a super mario powerpoint review game for lessons 1-3. actually, here are two.

THE QUESTIONS ARE THE SAME. one of the formats [2003] is shane's fancy super mario ppt with team scoring built in, but it doesn't work with office 2010. so i copied the questions into the old school super mario ppt.

I made a G2 L1,2,3 Double Puzzle Review. Covers the key phrases and random vocabulary from each Lesson.

Should take about 15-20 minutes, used it if there was extra time at the end of class.

this is a book scavenger hunt i made for lessons 1-3

i make this a race and the first student gets 2 pieces of candy and second place gets 1 or something like that.
the students have to finish the page by themselves - not in a group - and then i will check it. more often than not they are wrong the first time. this normally takes the whole class period.

*** question number 12 is something i taught in class so you may want to change it ***
