Prezi With Low Level Students
« on: March 02, 2011, 11:00:55 AM »
Hi Everyone
I wanted to know if anyone has worked with very low level students using prezi. I have mastered the ppt but it is getting boring.

I actually made a prezi for all of my classes (grades 1, 3-6). I'll tell you how it goes after I test run it next week. :)

WARNING: If you make one prezi and it blows your co-teacher's mind, you risk being asked to make them forever-more. And prezis aren't so quick and easy to make. XD

Thanks. That looks pretty sweet. Is free and easy enough to use?

Yeah, I've used it successfully with my rather low level kids.

Prezi is free and very easy to use.  However, it is much more time consuming than powerpoint to make a presentation.  It also lacks much of the functionality of powerpoint (animations and actions aren't very usable yet in prezi).  Powerpoint is much better for interactive things like games.
That said, prezis are very sleek and are great for a lecture type presentation. I certainly use them every once in a while.

Here are my two prezis that I made for last year... they were super time consuming but my students and co-teachers loved them.  I have just basic ability with this but some can get really awesome. Check out prezi.com for how to make and share your presentations with others for free.
