That is true, but each book has its own nuances, key expressions, etc. so I think an independent thread may be useful.

Hey thank you so much for uploading these!
I can't wait to use them in class. I haven't been able to put my input in class because my teacher teaches straight out of the book. I hope that these ppts will help students and show my co teacher that the book is really dry.

Here's a quick game and review for period 3 role play. I just put together a Word Scramble Game...followed by a review on temperature and weather.

After the PPT, i would go to the book and give the students 10min to practice/memorize their roleplay roles.

Love a good white board spelling activity! First part of the ppt is a review of vocab, the second half is the spelling activity. Have students take turns in groups of four doing the writing part. Each slide will show a pic and the students have to write the correct word on the white board. I taught periods 3 and 4 together and did this as a review.

I love the Mario Game! I removed the other expressions and updated it to just weather questions for my after school program.

Questions include:
What's the weather like?
How's the weather?
What season is it?

Cut out pictures of different types of clothing and stick a magnet on the back of the pictures. Split the class into two teams and have one person come up to the front for both teams. Then the coteacher will ask you how is the weather today, and then you reply. Whatever you want. When the two students hear this they must grab as many articles of clothing on the board that corresponds to that weather and attach them to the stick person you drew on the board. The person with the most articles of clothing is the winner
