Folks have listed some excellent organizations to donate to. Does anyone know anything about the volunteer situation? I think this will develop more in the coming months. Would Japan accept foreign aid in the way of unskilled volunteers? I'm thinking assisting in building homes and or clean up. I do realize that volunteers can often be more of a burden as they need to be properly managed and fed. I know we are all in school now, but with a break coming up in May it might be helpful to head over to Japan and help. Again I'm not totally sure and the radiation level will certainly factor into this as well. Can anyone shed some light on this? Are there any organizations to volunteer with?
