I noticed that the English books for the Grades 3 & 4 all have protagonists that are of indeterminate species that either look like an alien or creature (like Bobo or Zeeto) or an animals or bug (like the bumblebee couple in the new books, Bandy and TomTom). Do the regular Korean school books have these too?
I just wonder if any of you have noticed this? Is this there way of keeping the children's attention because if that were the case I think the kids will be as much interested if there weren't any creatures at all and just the human characters.
I'm just asking this out of curiosity.
