Great Link for Simple Images to Use in Lessons!
« on: November 25, 2008, 08:38:09 am »
Hi Everyone,

The link is: www.thecolor.com

If this site is already known, forgive me, I'm new to the ESL crowd. But I found this website today just full of great simple cartoon images of everything from animals to holidays to occupations...you get the idea, it's a great help for lessons and helping students learn vocab.
It's a free coloring website for kids, so just right click on the image you want and save it. Hope it helps!

I read this as meaning it's alright to print out images for students to color. If you want to embed images in a worksheet it might be better to source them from a public domain clipart site, such as http://www.pdclipart.org

Just want everyone to be safe.

Thanks for the reply Dayle - yeah I just use the images as visual aids in the classroom to solicit answers - I take this as covered under the copyright restrictions. (I'm definitely not trying to sell or adding them to my worksheets and passing them off as my own). Do you think thats safe?
Raised by wolves - Thanks for the extra links!

Some of my classes have working computers for stuff like powerpoint lessons, but some don't (I move from classroom to classroom), so any resource that has clear images that I can print and stick up on a blackboard are very useful!!!!
